I visited the Northlake location and had a deeply Mortifying experience. My friend and I stood at the counter for approximately 10 minutes without being acknowledged or assisted. When we were finally helped by the counter manager Ivory at Estée Lauder, her tone was condescending and unprofessional. She was not wearing a name tag, appeared disheveled, unkept and clearly had no knowledge of the Products we were requesting to see, and repeatedly rolled her eyes when we asked for assistance. While I was in the middle of deciding on a purchase, she abruptly walked away to help another customer without explanation. When I later needed additional help, she was nowhere to be found. As I continued browsing on my own, the “counter manager” approached me and accused me of stealing, despite the fact that I had just requested her assistance. She then threatened to have me removed from the store. This accusation was completely unfounded, aggressive and unacceptable. I was still taken aback, so I put all the items that I had grabbed for purchase back on the counter because they refused to spend one dollar here. The store manager I believe is Tanya was not present, so I was unable to file a formal complaint in person. I am extremely concerned that someone displaying this level of unprofessionalism and poor judgment is in a management role. From the other reviews left, I see that this is a reoccurring Issue At this location. Does not live up to the Belk standards That I have previously experienced at the Pineville in South Park locations . I will be escalating this matter to corporate and requesting review by the district and regional management teams. This behavior is unethical, discriminatory in nature, and entirely unacceptable.

The cosmetic counter representative Ivory, was very rude. She was not helpful and had a bad attitude because I asked for help finding a foundation color. As no one is around assisting with any customers I am looking through the box stacked on top for my color she approaches me about what am I looking for? In a rude manner. I politely ask I am looking for this product and the color code. She said we don’t have it without looking in the stock for it. I show her there is some in stock per online website, she argues it’s not accurate. It says 5 in stock so doing the due diligence to check before being so aggressive and rude would’ve been her job expectation. I asked if anyone else could assist me she said no! I am the only one here Ivory Patterson. as I am looking through the sale 30% I ask if it is the whole table or just the red sectioned off box. She replied it is what it says it is. And then as I am looking through the colors she tells me don’t open anything or you look like you’re stealing. She was very rude, very aggressive and not helpful. If you wonder why no one comes to shop it’s because her inability to do her job with manners and grace. You’d think you would hire ppl with customer service skills and the ability to do their job.

The service at the jewelry counter at Belk was extremely poor. On December 23rd, there was only one employee working in that area, which caused an excessive wait time. On top of that, the attitude of the lady assisting customers was very impatient and stressful, making the whole experience unpleasant. I understand it’s a very busy time of year, but lack of staff and poor customer service should not impact customers this way. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

My negative experience involves an employee named Punam at the Belk location in Northlake Mall (Store #329). Her conduct has involved misleading credit card practices and inappropriate behavior toward customers, including myself, on more than one occasion. In May of this year, she approached me and encouraged me to “sign up to see if I was applicable” for a discount. She stated that checking my eligibility would give me a 25% discount. At no point did she disclose that I was actually applying for a Belk credit card. After entering my information under the impression that I was only checking eligibility, the system printed out materials for a newly opened credit card account. I never intended to open this account, have never used it, and did not want it. During a recent visit in December, I witnessed this same employee aggressively approaching multiple customers about opening Belk credit cards. She then approached me and asked if I had one. I explained that I did, but only because I had been misled earlier in the year. Instead of acknowledging my concern, she followed me around the store insisting that she “does not use that verbiage” and implying that I was mistaken. Her behavior was intrusive, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. After each checkout interaction at this store, I have shared my concerns with other sales associates. Every time, they have responded with compassion and understanding, and none have seemed surprised by my experience. This strongly suggests that this is not an isolated issue and that other employees are aware of her pattern of misleading customers. These repeated encounters have significantly impacted my comfort and willingness to shop at this location. Every other employee I have interacted with has been kind, helpful, and professional, but this individual’s conduct creates an uncomfortable environment for customers and reflects poorly on the store.

My sister and I were trying to relax and shop on Friday 12/5. We were approached continuously by a sales rep # 032948 as in followed around telling us we needed to open a credit card. My sister had one; my husband not me had one which I use She would pout if we would say No but then return to continue harassing. She followed us to shoe depart and when I continued to say NO she angrily rang me up. Then my sister checked out and she tried to encourage her to have me apply for a credit card so my sister could save. When I returned to register she started again harassing my sister to have me apply and save her money. . When she was not successful she threw my sisters $400 plus merchandise angrily into bag. Avoid this store. Shop on line.or shop Macys or Dillards. Put a damper on our serious shopping experience. Clerk number 032948. Also harassing others even when they said I don’t want my credit report affected by the application.
