  The store manager, Jenn, and her associate, Karin helped me with a difficult return. They were patient and provided me with realistic expectations for the return. We were able to get it squared away which turned out better than expected.

  I decided to go to Belk with my mom since she is a valued customer there and does business with them for many years however my shopping experience was not so good, my mom is God fearing woman and she is my angel on earth so if I feel any disrespect towards her I will speak UP! We were shopping in the men’s department for some business attire for my father when this Indian lady walked up to us and was pressuring me to signed up for a Belk card to get a discount or percentage of from store purchasing which is great but my mom already has one and I don’t really shop at Belk so I did not need it accept she didn’t take my NO for an answer, she proceeded to speak with us about the 3 ppl who were gathered talking in which she said was security cool however she then started going in on security is at every door and blah blah not knowing I was a former City employee so she already made me feel uncomfortable! My mom was ready to check out and the Indian lady asked me about 5 more times if I wanted to sign up as me and my mom were having a random conversation and I just looked at her in disgust, and told her to stop begging me then she said that she did not understand the American Language in which I told her that she was in America working for an organization based in America and she can always go back to Indian so she can understand better, also I am someone who specializes in working with individuals even if they’re is a language barrier so I feel as a professional she was OUT of line for even bringing up the American language and also over asking somewhat controlling way she approached me about signing up with Belk, this was a very horrible experience and I will not ever shop at this location again. I recommend having a coaching session with the Indian lady about Diversity and the misuse of Belks guidelines on how to approach shoppers rules and regulations! My mom never said anything she was very surprised at how the Indian lady was behaving to say the least!

  Michelle was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We came looking for a coat for my mother. Their selection was limited, but after Christmas it's to be expected. Fair pricing. I ended up finding some goodies for myself in Crown & Ivy! Love their plus size wear. Fashionable & Trendy! Just need to work on organizing & straightening. I understand though, it's retail and limited associates. I get it. I made sure to straighten what I touched.

  I visited the Northlake location and had a deeply Mortifying experience. My friend and I stood at the counter for approximately 10 minutes without being acknowledged or assisted. When we were finally helped by the counter manager Ivory at Estée Lauder, her tone was condescending and unprofessional. She was not wearing a name tag, appeared disheveled, unkept and clearly had no knowledge of the Products we were requesting to see, and repeatedly rolled her eyes when we asked for assistance. While I was in the middle of deciding on a purchase, she abruptly walked away to help another customer without explanation. When I later needed additional help, she was nowhere to be found. As I continued browsing on my own, the “counter manager” approached me and accused me of stealing, despite the fact that I had just requested her assistance. She then threatened to have me removed from the store. This accusation was completely unfounded, aggressive and unacceptable. I was still taken aback, so I put all the items that I had grabbed for purchase back on the counter because they refused to spend one dollar here. The store manager I believe is Tanya was not present, so I was unable to file a formal complaint in person. I am extremely concerned that someone displaying this level of unprofessionalism and poor judgment is in a management role. From the other reviews left, I see that this is a reoccurring Issue At this location. Does not live up to the Belk standards That I have previously experienced at the Pineville in South Park locations . I will be escalating this matter to corporate and requesting review by the district and regional management teams. This behavior is unethical, discriminatory in nature, and entirely unacceptable.
