A true water repellant hiking shoe that matched the performance of my Merrill, north face, Altra and Keen hiking shoes and boots at half the price ( outlet prices mind you)? Can this be so? Sure their water repellent uppers were great for slick, rain and mud but would the be both comfortable and durable for actual hiking miles? I am happy to report they have proven to be adept hikers and perfect for sloppy conditions with deep lugs that grip but don’t ‘collect’ mud. Great laces and a comfortable ride. These aren’t trail runners -they are hiking shoes so expect a stiffer sole ( ideal for rooty/rocky trails). Sz8.5 model number - YM0749-413. Blue uppers, grey midsole and black outer sole.
