The older white saleswoman with long blonde hair was on a Zoom call on speaker when we came in, though did greet us. After trying on a pair or two, she asked if I was looking for something specific and I mentioned loving skinny lenses, and she did point us to a new collection that did have what I was hoping. She began hovering on the floor while on her call, telling me I looked nice in every pair I tried on. And after finding my ideal pair, I tried to convince my partner to get a pair too. I picked out a few I thought he may like, but as he’s trying them on and we’re giggling about ones he hates, the shopkeeper approaches us and says ‘are you guys actually here to buy something or are you just joking around?’ Incredibly rude and it made my partner extremely uncomfortable and it felt like she was gauging if she should just sit back behind the counter and enjoy her call. I showed her the pair I liked and explained that he didn’t care for sunglasses and I wanted to find a pair he likes. We bought two pairs because we felt pressured to do so, but will be returning the glasses the next day due to her service.
