- AGAudra Godfrey6 days ago1.0I am honestly shocked to see how many positive reviews Josiah has received, including one posted by himself not far down, because our experience was the complete opposite of friendly or professional. My husband has a warranty on his sunglasses that clearly states FULL REPLACEMENT for $40.00. When the lens busted, he went into this Sunglass Hut location to use the warranty. Josiah refused to replace the glasses and told my husband he would only replace the lenses — despite the warranty stating otherwise. Josiah then said it was “up to him as the store manager” whether he wanted to honor the full replacement or not. The situation got worse when he very rudely told my husband to “read the fine print next time he purchases a warranty,” while waving him off in a condescending manner as my husband took his business elsewhere. For comparison, the Asheville Outlet Mall Sunglass Hut provided phenomenal customer service. They did not speak down to my husband, honored the warranty properly, and had him in and out with a brand-new pair of sunglasses in about 30 minutes. This experience was incredibly disappointing and completely unacceptable from a store manager. Customer service should never involve arrogance, misinformation, or dismissiveness — especially when a customer is simply trying to use a warranty they paid for.
