  Store usually very clean, well staffed, wide selection and great sales, especially on shoes and apparel. I prefer you over Dicks most times

  It was clean, well managed, and it had most of the things I was hoping for. Great for sports themed gifts for all ages.

  Good place with a wide range of stuff. I got a bicycle from here, and a soccer ball. I also have my eyes on a $150 grill which is a sweet deal. Will come back to this place!

  After choosing Academy Sports over Dick's for years due to their military discount being 10%, I was told today by the cashier they no longer do that, even when proper ID was presented. When I looked it up online, it says that they still do a military and first responder discount, but the cashier insisted that this is something they no longer do. So either Academy Sports needs to update their website or this cashier is uninformed or unwilling. I told him I didn't even need a price adjustment, just wanted to show him what was posted online, but he insisted he was right.

  Selections are fairly decent and online stock tends to line up with what is in the store...all that aside, 2 stars for lack of customer service! The sure push the "store card" to the point of being confusing and borderline deceiving. I entered in my number, the lady told me it wasnt associated but I could sign up and get $15 off, but it would be for a future purchase. What she failed to mention is this would be an in store credit card! I was simply looking to use my free rewards phone number...oh, well they cant look that up for you. BUT if I had a "credit card" they can look that up. Makes no sense whatsoever...or you know what, actually the way businesses are these days it makes perfect sense...push the credit cards, be elusive and vague on the free reward membership. Last time we will visit this location! They need better customer service and/or better policies one of them (or both) are extremely lacking!
