  Please do not shop here. I want to write this review respectfully and kindly; however, this business attempted to mislead customers and sign both me and my girlfriend up for a credit card after we repeatedly said, “We are not interested in signing up.” After we respectfully declined the offer, the employee said, “No, I’m just getting y’all a discount.” However, this “discount” was only available if we applied for the Belk credit card. My girlfriend is 18 and I am 17, yet the employee began asking for our driver’s licenses and Social Security numbers so we could receive this “discount.” Even after we mentioned multiple times that we are 17 and 18, and that I do not even have a credit card while my girlfriend clearly stated she was not interested, the employee continued asking for our address and other very personal information such as our phone numbers and Social Security numbers. This happened repeatedly. What makes this worse is that this is the second occurrence. The first time, it was an older woman. I respectfully asked if they carried any women’s garments in certain colors. She said no, and then immediately asked if we would be interested in applying for the Belk credit card. We again respectfully said no, explaining that I am 17 and my girlfriend is 18. She continued to pressure us by asking questions like, “When is your birthday?” and saying things like, “You better be here on September 16th!” She repeatedly insisted that I should come back the moment I turn 18 so I could apply for the credit card. Even after we declined several times, she kept pushing my girlfriend to apply and continued trying to pressure both of us. I believe these employees receive commission for people who apply for the Belk credit card, because they will constantly pressure you and attempt to push the application even after you clearly say no. I actually want to shop at this store and have bought products here before, but it becomes very uncomfortable when it feels like you are constantly fighting off salespeople who are being so pushy that it feels dishonest. Honestly, it’s the kind of pressure that would make even a car salesman blush.
