  I drove my teenage grandsons out from upstate New York on their spring break. They loved the Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium. We stayed at the Anglers Lodge where the staff are so nice, in addition to keeping the hotel clean and accommodating. Great job by Bass Pro!!!

  Really too many things to talk about to narrow it down is the smartest thing... We went there for the NRA historic firearms display. Absolutely! Epic the epic. The artifacts that are in that museum blow you away... Pardon the literal pun. I was most impressed with the model 42 Remington 410. That's a rare weapon... But even the mundane Ruger 10/22 or the Remington 66... Were incredible artifacts because of their early production dates. But when you think about King James II. Personal shotgun or his son's personal shotgun or the artifacts that the US military were able to confiscate from the evil British empire at the time. It was just incredible. Colt revolvers Colt letterhead Colt patents you name it. The amount of artifacts in the NRA museum is incredible. It's a must-see for any gun enthusiast. As far as Bass pro shops go, this is the flagship. It even had an outlet store and who doesn't want a place to be able to buy $4.95 Bass pro shop hats. We walked out of there relatively unscathed, although I would say the 2024 virago 25-ft pontoons with the 250 horse Mercury's on them for sale for $49,000 with dual axle trailers was extremely enticing. There's a cafe. There's an incredible fish aquarium, if you're ever invited to spend some time in Springfield, make sure you denote sometime to spend at the Bass pro shops. Set the kids free. Mom and dad can go look at fluffy blankets together.

  I've been to a lot of Bass Pro Shops and this one was amazing. I toured the museums and the aquarium. They had a section dedicated to the greatest President of all time Teddy Roosevelt. It was a fun day on my vacation.

  Boat salesmen are extremely arrogant, Manager needs to have a meeting and tell them they don't own the Bass Pro Shop, they work there. They we rude and didn't want to take time to tell me where the cheaper boats were. Very disappointing. Academy Sports salesmen treat you a lot better.

  If you are going to have people selling getaways at Big Cedar in your store you might want to manage them. I had a sells person tell me no dogs are allowed so I said it wouldn't be a fit for us. He then said don't let a dog stop you from making family memories with your kids. I couldn't believe that came out of his mouth as we are standing there with our dog and kids. I'm not sure I will be traveling 3.5 hours to go to bass pro headquarters in Springfield again. We were extremely offended because pets are family and are included in our family memories.
