Horrible experience my brother was treated unfairly and disrespected by an employee named Jay. I normally don’t write reviews, but what happened here was so unprofessional that I feel people should know. My brother went in to return a pair of brand new glasses that were still in perfect condition no scratches, no signs of use, nothing. The only thing he did was rub his finger lightly on the lens to show how the light distorted a bit, which is completely normal when checking glasses. Right away, Jay, the employee helping us, got defensive and dismissive. When my brother calmly asked why his return was being denied if the glasses were clearly unused, Jay got irritated and started acting like we were trying to cause trouble. My brother then asked if he could speak to the manager, and Jay admitted he wasn’t even the manager. He went to the back saying he would “call the manager,” but we couldn’t hear anything he said. A few minutes later, he came back and said, with attitude, “Yeah, I’m going to need you guys to leave. We won’t be able to do anything for you.” That was it no explanation, no attempt to resolve the issue, not even a basic level of customer service. The way he handled everything felt completely unfair and discriminatory, as if he had made up his mind from the beginning that he didn’t want to help us. We stayed calm and respectful the whole time, but Jay’s tone and attitude were rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. It’s frustrating and disappointing to see someone in customer service treat paying customers like that especially when we were just trying to do a simple return. We left the store feeling disrespected and singled out for no reason. If this is how Jay represents this business, then management seriously needs to step in and make changes. No customer should be made to feel unwelcome or discriminated against for trying to return a product. I hope someone from corporate or management reads this and holds Jay accountable, because this kind of treatment is absolutely unacceptable.

I didn't realize Sunglasses Hut hires people with terrible attitudes and trashy customer service. How are you gonna claim my return is damaged when the employee himself is messing with the lenses himself? Then when I need to speak to a manager, the employee sneaks away to the back where I can't confirm if and what the manager said about my return. Now I don't even feel comfortable going to another store because I don't know if the employees are going to have nasty attitudes there. And just to note, this employee enjoys giggling and complaining about returns in front of the customer. So much for thinking I was making a good purchase from a great place.

I had one of the worst retail experiences ever at Sunglass Hut. I came in to return a pair of glasses, and from the moment I walked in, the employee (Jay) was rude and condescending. As soon as I said I was there for a return, he started laughing with another coworker, saying they had already done a big return that day and “couldn’t afford to go in the red.” Then things got even worse — while inspecting the glasses, Jay actually scratched them on purpose with his finger to claim they were damaged. I have this on video — my family member recorded the entire thing. After that, he went to the back to call the manager, clearly trying to keep the conversation out of earshot. When he came back, his attitude was even worse. He told us to leave the store, raising his voice and treating us like we were the problem. I’ve never seen such unprofessional, dishonest behavior in a store that’s supposed to represent a reputable brand. I left shocked and angry. If this is how Sunglass Hut allows their employees to treat customers — laughing at them, damaging merchandise, and then refusing service — I’ll never shop there again.
