It operates like a full-price retail store, which is completely out of place in an outlet environment where people come expecting deals. Yes, the selection is large, but the prices are so inflated it practically discourages buying anything. If I wanted to shop full retail with zero value, I wouldn’t come to an outlet mall. This store is wildly disconnected from its surroundings and its customers.

She walked me through signing up for Ralph Lauren to receive a discount and complimented the dress I chose, which meant more than she probably realized. I didn’t share the reason I was purchasing the dress, but my mom brought me home from the hospital in a Ralph Lauren outfit when I was born. The little black dress I bought today was for my mom’s memorial. Bridget had no idea what I was going through, yet our interaction was so warm, thoughtful, and refreshing during a very difficult time. Thank you, Bridget, for your kindness — it mattered.
