  Fishing section guy went above and beyond to get me some small rippin raps today. Couldn’t find me after he got them, called me over the intercom. Above and beyond customer service - appreciate it!!

  When my partner and I went to the Cabela’s in Woodbury to go on a hunt for our perfect hammock chairs that we have been looking for, for about 2 years. It was my partners first time EVER in a Cabela’s, he was in such awe of all the things they have. We spent at least 2 to 3 hours there just looking at everything and having such wonderful conversations with EVERY SINGLE employee. Everyone was so knowledgeable and kind. Never tried to sell us on things we didn’t want or need. We not only found the amazing chairs we had been looking for but it was the last two and they discontinued making them. We also went on to buy a few other things, we can’t wait to go back and make this our new favorite store. If you’re looking for a friendly local Cabela’s try out the Woodbury one.

  You walk in and right away they try selling you their credit card by calling it a membership. Then within the next 5 minutes someone is trying to sell you the Hilton vacation "membership" I just wanted to shop not be sold a vacation or credit card. We just left...... Huge turn off so again we just left and probably won't be back. We don't go to Cabela's to buy vacation points.

  So sad.. I remember when Cabelas was a respectable company. I can’t count the times I’ve come to this store and their website and actual inventory don’t line up. I shouldn’t be surprised, I worked there in college. Every time I come here looking for something I am told it’s not in stock, or they just simply can’t find the product, even though it’s in the building. Not sure why I keep coming here. Today, I was after battery trays for a deep cycle battery. The employee I worked with told me, “huh, must have moved them on me, they should be right here. The warehouse team must have moved them, they’d know where they are at. Maybe you should order it online.” Man, I didn’t stop here after work because I wanted to order this online. If I wanted to do that I’d have pulled up my Amazon app and ordered it. Why did the employee tell me the warehouse team knew where they would be, but didn’t offer to contact them and ask? Like the warehouse was in a different time zone and it would be rude to contact them at such a late hour..? There’s more employees walking around than customers, but no one can be inconvenienced to check stock for the product you are there to buy. A Scheels employee would offer to melt their shoes to mold a battery tray if they didn’t have one on the shelf (obviously sarcasm), but there’s a reason the Bass Pro brand is going to be one of the next large retail failures.
