Today I see that I was charged twice and there were other charges on my card from JCPennys the day after the purchase and the day after that. My girlfriend also purchased a ring and they sent her the wrong one. I called today and couldn't get through to the operator. Called again and got transferred then hung up on before talking to anyone. Called again and spoke to management saying they cant listen or do anything unless I come in. I don't live in the area. Nice costumer service you have there JCPenny when dealing with fraud! Now I'll have to see about going through the banks and law system. What a pain!
- RGRichard GehrkeDec 7, 20251.0On November 28th, I attempted to have my mom's deactivated gift card reactivated per the customer service department handling gift cards. The young man directing people in line asked what I needed when he saw I didnt have anything in my hands other than the gift card. I explained the situation to him and the solution as provided by the 1800 number staff. He then proceeds to tell me that they are not able to do the reactivation and it has to go through the 1800 number. I called again and I again got the same response that they are able to reactivate cards in person. Selection at this store wasn't fantastic either. Fast forward to yesterday, the JCPenney store in Duluth, MN could not have been easier to work with and proceeded to tell me that the staff at Roseville were wrong and yes reactivations take place in store. Frustrating experience but Amy in Duluth was a pleasure to work with. Sadly, the same can not be said about the staff at Roseville. Please do better for your customers.
