  Southdale has come a long way over the past few years, and it shows. The updates and renovations have made a noticeable difference, and the mall feels much more modern and intentional than it used to. There’s no longer a shortage of recognizable brand-name stores, which makes it feel more like a true shopping destination again. That said, there are still a few odd, lesser-known shops scattered throughout with inconsistent or unusual hours, which can be a little confusing. The food options are decent. The traditional food court is a bit of a letdown, but there are better standalone options throughout the mall like Rustica Bakery, Pezzo Pizza, Yumi Sushi, People’s Organic, and others. Having Kowalski’s grocery store on-site is also a big plus and adds convenience. Entertainment-wise, there’s more to do now with options like an escape room and Dave & Buster’s. The mall is spacious, never feels overly crowded, and has plenty of parking, which makes it easy and stress-free to visit. Overall, the updates are a very welcome change. Southdale feels revitalized, easier to navigate, and much more enjoyable than it was a few years ago.

  The employees @ the Polo Ralph Lauren store are great! Their level of expertise & attention to detail make shopping there a great experience. They will help you get anything you need & are always so helpful! The manager April has a great team! Definitely visit the store if you are in the area!

  I havent been to Southdale in years. I didn't know so much has left the mall. For what I went for it was fine, but hoped there would be a few more options for shopping.

  Southdale Center in Edina, MN has always had a special place in my heart. It was the first indoor mall in Minnesota. I believe it was built in 1956. I remember going there as a child for all the holiday celebrations and I always wanted to go to Woolworths because they had the best toys. The mall has expanded and changed so much over the last 25 years you hardly recognize it anymore. But all these changes were for the better period not only did it expand its footprint for better parking as well as huge anchor stores like Macy's large restaurants, but it’s also filled with unique stores. Many that you have heard of before like lululemon, Rag Stock, Lens Crafters, coach, polo by Ralph Lauren just to name a few. It's also fun to discover new stores that you're not familiar with that carry some amazing products. There is several different food options, things for the whole family to do as well as a wonderful clean and fun atmosphere. Over the years once the Mall of America was opened, a lot of the smaller outdoor malls and strip malls ended up closing. With Southdale, Ridgedale as well as Rosedale have all been able to survive and thrive by changing with the times to what the customers want. Southdale Mall is great for a lot of my clients who live in the Bloomington, Richfield and Edina areas. Because it's close and easy to get to. Being that it's smaller but with lots of options for parking, for many it works to make a quick run to the store versus going to the Mall of America which could take a lot more time. I've been selling homes in the metro area for over 23 years period most of my clients that I sell to in this area utilize not only Southdale mall but all the wonderful stores, restaurants and other shopping experiences around it. No matter how busy it gets, there's more than enough ample parking. I would say that it's morphed a little bit more into a mall that's like the Galleria that's just down the road. A lot of high-end shops with amazing items for sale. You won't find a dollar store in this mall
