- MMMar MOct 9, 20251.0I came in knowing exactly what I wanted and just needed my size in the kids’ shoes section, but the associate didn’t ask and only handed me the shoes before walking away. There was only one other customer, yet she told me I had to wait because she was busy and stayed with them while they tried on shoes, with her back turned to me the entire time as I waited at the register. When they finished and walked to the register, she told me again that I had to wait and would help them first, even though I had been waiting the whole time. The difference in service was very noticeable. I still bought the shoes for my son’s birthday, but I ended up crying and was too upset and embarrassed to speak to a manager, so I left. I just wanted to get out of the mall at that point. I don’t know if it was because I look young or had a toddler with me, but I have never received this kind of treatment before. I hope Nordstrom addresses this so no one else has to go through it.
