The Bloomington employee, Will, make our experience very special! He was friendly, helpful, and even gave us a limited edition strawberry charm from his name tag! Thank you for making this experience a special memory!

This could be the coolest store in all of the Mall of America. I remember being a little kid and so excited to get Legos as a present.t's really cool all these years later to see it thriving the way it is. We used to get Legos either at Target or you could literally order them off a box of Velveeta period now they come packaged with superheroes, Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter and all other themes you can think of. The place was packed today and it was fun to see so many cool statues built out of Legos. Huge two-story items that are Transformers, a tiger, and just so many incredibly unique things. Whether you have kids or not this is a fun store to stop in when you're at the Mall of America. It's right by the entrance to the center of the mall with all the rides on the South end

Employees stood nearby and observed while my wife and I carefully filled multiple Pick-A-Brick cups, following what we understood to be the standard in-store process. When we arrived at the register, we were informed—only at that point—that the refill discount was no longer offered. While disappointed, we accepted this without argument and were prepared to pay the full price for the filled cups. However, the situation became unnecessarily frustrating when the cashier then informed us that, because the refill discount was no longer available, we were not allowed to purchase the filled cups as-is. Instead, we were told we had to completely empty the cups and repack every brick into the standard cardboard Pick-A-Brick box. I asked if we could simply pay the $17.99 box price for the cups we had already filled, especially considering the cups and boxes are clearly designed to hold the same volume. The response was a firm “no,” with the explanation that the bricks needed to be transferred to the box “to make sure.” At that point, my wife and I were required to spend an additional 10 minutes repacking the exact same bricks—brick by brick—from the plastic cup into the cardboard box, all while store employees watched. Nothing about the quantity changed. Nothing about the contents changed. The only outcome was wasted time, unnecessary packaging, and a noticeably worse customer experience. Once this redundant task was completed, the employee was more than happy to ring up the boxes without issue. This entire interaction felt less like a policy requirement and more like a breakdown in employee training or internal communication. The insistence that two containers of identical size somehow required “verification” through repackaging defies basic logic—and geometry. More importantly, it forced customers to generate additional waste and inconvenience for no practical reason. LEGO prides itself on thoughtful design, sustainability, and customer experience. Situations like this undermine those values. Store employees should be clearly educated that the Pick-A-Brick cups and boxes are equivalent in volume and that customers should never be required to waste time or materials simply to satisfy an arbitrary or poorly communicated rule.
