  Horrible customer service I will never shop at the Troy location ever again. I will only shop at the Detroit location because they know how to have good customer service. Maybe the Troy location should take some pointers from the Detroit location on how to have good customer service. The brand Alo Itself very nice, good quality. They could just do better with the people that they have running their Troy location could definitely be better.

  The G.M., Aaron, was the nicest most helpful person. I went in with my mom and boyfriend and he made sure we were taken care of and got everything we needed. He was so kind and genuine — we usually don’t shop at Alo but we will definitely be back thanks to him.

  I had a very disappointing experience at Alo Yoga while trying to exchange an item. When I approached the cashier, she rudely asked for my order number. I provided it, assuming her tone might have been due to an accent or a language barrier, but the attitude continued. She asked for the order number again in an even more dismissive way and then rudely told me I would need to pay the $4 difference, which came across as condescending, almost as if she assumed I couldn’t afford it. Customer service is a big part of the in-store experience, especially for a brand at this price point. I expected professionalism and respect, and unfortunately, I did not receive that.

  When I looked up the store to see where it was located in the mall, the low star rating got my attention and I got nervous after seeing the terrible reviews regarding returns in this store. My positive experience is specifically for this location: everyone was extremely nice. I made a fairly large online return with no issues at all. I was greeted immediately when I walked in and the man at the register was also kind and accepted my return without any rudeness or issue. I showed my order from my phone because the order was sent in several packages and he was able to look it up without any issue. As for Alo as a brand…I am pretty unimpressed and surprised at how popular it is. This was my first time trying Alo, so I ordered multiple sizes and styles. Fit was fine, but everything seemed so cheap and thin and like it wouldn’t stay in place during a workout. I kept a few items that were more loungewear-like, but pretty much returned everything else. The delivery process was also an issue, which seems to be common after seeing other reviews with similar experiences. One of the packages that was supposed to contain two of my items had 2 items that I did not order, even though the shipping slip inside the bag listed the 2 items I was actually supposed to receive. I reached out to customer service online and they seemed helpful at first, but then I realized they only sent 1 of the 2 items that were missing, so I had to contact them again. The second person I dealt with was struggling to understand the situation, so it took forever. I eventually got both items that were missing, but I think it was a few weeks in total by the time I got my full order. So to those who end up receiving wrong items online, maybe contact customer service from the website vs trying to handle it in store because I imagine they can’t do much with an online order issue in store.
