  I went to Southland JC Penney to purchase Dockers pants at 40% "Site Wide". The in store price was full price, $74.95. What does "Site Wide" discount mean? Internet only? I was disappointed.

  Buyer beware! My husband and I were nearly scammed at JCP this afternoon. JCP is running a sale on Geneva watches this weekend and we were planning on purchasing one. However, when we took the watch to check out, my husband noticed the watch rang up $45. We were already in the process of paying and the cashier told us they couldn’t check the price on each item until we finished paying. I questioned it, and a few second later she magically was able to tell us the price for each item. However, she said she couldn’t void the sale and we needed to finish paying. We finished paying and immediately asked to see the receipt to start a return. She declined to give us the receipt, stating she needed to cross check the number on the watch and the receipt. Once she shows the receipt to us she states that the only way to get the sale price ($18.88), we need to check out at jewelry. Mind you, there is no sign stating that this watch (not behind the counter) needed to be paid for at jewelry to get the sale price. We asked for a price adjustment and she said no. We were refunded on a JCP gift card and immediately went to the jewelry counter. At the jewelry counter, the clerk told us they only have one register in the entire store that will ring up the sale price for this watch. The catch is this register will only take credit/debit, no cash or gift cards. They told us they can’t accept gift cards because they have no way of knowing how much is on the gift card. I showed them the receipt which showed 47.70 was on a JCP gift card and was activated less than 10 mins ago. They still declined to accept the JCP gift card and said they were not able do price adjustments at any other register. I feel scammed and taken advantage of. I choose to shop at JCP despite the many other retailers in the Southland Mall and surrounding areas. However, after this I won’t be retuning. I will spend my hard earned money at retailers that don’t mislead, mistreat, and scam their consumers.

  Stopped by JCPenney recently and was pleasantly surprised by the variety they carry. It’s one of those stores where you can shop for clothing, shoes, accessories, and even home items all in one place. The layout is spacious and easy to walk through, which makes browsing comfortable. There are usually good sales and promotions, especially on seasonal items. If you take your time, you can definitely find quality pieces at very reasonable prices. The clothing selection covers different age groups and styles, which makes it convenient when shopping for the whole family. The store felt organized and the fitting rooms were clean. Checkout was smooth, and overall the experience was simple and stress-free. A reliable spot for affordable fashion and home essentials, especially when you catch a good sale.

  We were in Jcpenny the other evening, we were looking for the mall entrance when a very rude employee asked us to leave because she thought we weren't good enough for her store, I will never go back.
