This place is truly amazing for how it’s set up and the inventory available. I had the opportunity to work with Terry my sales guy and Armin his manager . They are such wonderful people ..very patient and professional. They work hard to go above and beyond to get what you are looking for. I loved the overall experience working with them and would highly recommend this place and Terry and Armin if you are looking for a best shopping experience.

Leza, my sales rep, and Sarah, the jeweler, did a fantastic job helping me select the wedding band addition for my 40 year old engagement and wedding ring. I had brought in some gold for exchange and Jaime appraised it and gave me a very good deal. So then I was able to have this new ring created and then soldered to my original ring. Its absolutely beautiful.

Tapper’s are a professional organization. Grant in the Rolex department was knowledgeable on the product. Felt like when I picked up my watch, he covered all my questions about the Rolex watch I was buying . The facility was clean and all staff would smile and make conversation.

While Tapper’s in Novi has a beautiful showroom and friendly staff that greet you right away when you enter, my experience has left me with the impression that the sales people are in a hurry, that they don’t have any interest in showing you the upper floor merchandise, and generally are not customer focused. A recent repair had some issues and I had to return to the store. While they did correct it, they were not apologetic and acted like they were doing me a favor. It is not terrible service however it doesn’t feel like you are getting the personal attention that such a valuable purchase warrants.

I was recently visiting Tapper’s Jewelry Store in Novi, Michigan, after seeing their advertisements boasting about buying an estate jewelry and gold. I had just left another jeweler where I had two items appraised – a gold half-carat diamond ring, and an antique ring for insurance purposes – and I figured I would stop by Tapper’s to see what they may offer. Upon entering, I was greeted with indifference and asked to wait. When I was finally escorted into the office, ( I’m not even sure he introduced himself) had an incredibly off-putting attitude. I could not help but notice his flipping back, his long hair, which I found somewhat gross, considering I was walking behind him. But what really stood out was his superior, condescending demeanor. As if because he evaluates jewelry, that somehow made him better than me. To be clear, I wasn’t dressed in some fancy, designer outfit-though I didn’t realize that would be a requirement for asking a simple question. Regardless, that should never factor into a professional interaction. But the arrogance and the assumption started when I pulled out my gold, diamond ring, and antique ring. He immediately dismissed the antique ring as being “ sterling silver” (it wasn’t), and when I corrected him and said it was 14K white gold, he continued to dismiss it as if I didn’t know what I was talking about. The worst part was when he started tossing out offers without even weighing or properly evaluating the rings. For my half-carrot diamond ring with seven baguettes, he offered a measly $400-$450, barely even acknowledging the value of it. Then, when I showed him the antique ring, he practically sneered at it, offering $200. The ring was from the early 1900s in its original ring case. Would shocked me most was the complete lack of professionalism, and how he seemed to assume I was clueless about my own property. The arrogance he displayed was appalling-just because someone is in the business of evaluating jewelry doesn’t make them superior, nor does it mean, they should treat customers with such disdain. While, I wasn’t looking to sell my rings, I was curious about their offer because of the stores frequent advertisements. Based on my experience, I would highly suggest you take your business elsewhere. It’s a shame that a store that promotes buying gold and estate jewelry comes off as so unprofessional. Remember: not everything that glitters is gold. Arrogance has no place in the business world, and you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. The person that comes in looking homeless, are they really homeless? Do you know how deep their pockets are? I was in the store on March 18, 2026 around 1PM.
