    MANAGER THREW MERCHANDISE AT ME... I Attempted to return defective boots with my fiancé today (they were marketed as waterproof snow boots and the first snow she stepped in seeped right through the toe cap). We don't have a receipt but used their rewards program that is SUPPOSED to also keep digital receipts; of course they conveniently couldn't find the transaction... So we said okay let's look it up by the card we used, we used Google pay but of course their systems are so utterly outdated you can't tap to look up transactions (the manager in question claims it's for safety of the customer even though you can do it at Menards for example with no problems). They tried to force us to take half of what we paid on a store credit "out of the goodness of their hearts" I said no, we aren't going to be punished for you selling defective merchandise and your systemsbeing outdated! We will either take the full purchase price back on our card or the full purchase price on in-store credit, which is your company's policy. The manager in question ignored what I said, got an attitude with me when I called her out on her own company policy and when I told her this is the reason why your company is going out of business she threw the box of boots at me and stormed off into her office. I'm sure you have cameras in the customer service department so any higher level management can easily verify. This woman does not deserve her job and is lucky I didn't want to waste my time filing an assault charge against her. If she would have hit my fiance with the box it would have been a different story! Absolutely piss poor customer service and you just lost an entire family of long time JCP shoppers from your already dwindling customer base.

    I just left the makeup counter. The young lady at the counter didnt know how to take the jcpenny master card, so she told me the only way she could do it was for me to enter my social sec number for system to find me. I asked her to ask someone she said I could take the makeup to another counter (mind you shd had already put it in the bag) I asked would it be an issue because its in a bag and I had not paid for it yet. She said no. On the way to another counter a man who works at the jewelry counter told her how to ring it up. I dont understand. She could have just asked someone how to, instead of sending me away to another counter, full of anxiety because I ALWAYS get profiled in these kinds of stores. Remember I told you it was already in a bag from where she tried to ring it up and failed. Next time I will go to another store makeup.

    I stopped by the jewelry department at JCPenney and Felicia was the absolute highlight of my visit. She was warm, attentive, and really took the time to help me with what I needed. Her customer service is exactly what you hope for when you walk into a store. On the other hand, the manager, Moe, didn’t come across very pleasant and the energy shifted a bit whenever he was involved. Luckily, Felicia’s professionalism and friendly attitude kept the experience on track. If you’re shopping for jewelry, Felicia is definitely the person you want to work with.
