I have purchased over 3 firearms from this store and spent thousands of dollars of Christmas gifts here. I had a firearm being transfered to them and reached out to them to clarify it was a transferable firearm. They said it was fine and communicated with them daily waiting for the item to be delivered. Then come to find out they cant transfer it, talked to the manager directly and made me confident he'd give me a tracking number for when they shipped the firearm back. They did not and said thats not their responsibility after we had clear communication again. Their customer service and communication are very poor. They gave me zero help with any of this. DON'T BUY FROM HERE

This review is for the gun counter…. Had a horrible experience with the manager, Jerry. He had a very horrible attitude and treated us like absolute crap due to a suspicion they had of someone else in our group. Then they denied selling me a gun that I was part way through the process of purchasing because he was mad. The situation had nothing to do with me personally, but a suspicion about someone else in our group. The managers were very nice when I talked to them at the customer service desk and you could tell they wanted to fix it, but didn’t have the guts to stand up to Jerry.

I went to cabelas to purchase a used firearm from the gun library because they were running a promotion of "10% off ALL used firearms". I found the perfect rifle for me that was $1000. I brought in 2 rifles for trade in as well. I was immediately low balled on one of the rifles I brought in by a worker named Shane. I have dealt with him in the past and I cringed the moment I seen he was going to be working out my deal. He was extremely rude about my trade in and condescending. He gave me the same line he always does when I try to trade in rifles. He usually says "it's not going to matter to me if you don't like my price, as we have too many rifles already." And "I'll let you walk out that door". No wonder you guys have to many rifles, you won't sell them with that attitude. Eventually I agreed to the other salesman offer because it seemed more reasonable. The other salesman was super polite and helpful. Once I got to the check out I mentioned to Shane that I was supposed to get 10% off as advertised. He was literally standing next to the sign that said it. He immediately cut me off and said that the sign didn't matter and the promotion was for used hand guns only, no rifles. I wasn't trying to debate with him anymore so I bought the gun and left. I called the customer service number online and was immediately given my 10% discount of $100. This kid has been at this location for awhile and everytime I try to buy a firearm he ruins the experience for me. It doesn't seem like he should be working in the gun library. The first time he treated me like this I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I thought maybe he was having a bad day. This is definitely a pattern with him. I won't buy another used firearm from them unless I deal with another salesman.

I drove over one hour to my local Cabela’s to return a YETI product that was in pristine, unused condition. According to Cabela’s published return policy for YETI products, items may be returned for store credit without a receipt. I confirmed this policy before making the trip. When I arrived, the store manager was dismissive and rude. He stated that he was refusing the return simply because he “had the right to,” without offering any explanation or citing a policy that contradicted what is publicly stated by Cabela’s. He showed no concern for the distance I traveled or the fact that I had followed the return guidelines. I was prepared to spend additional money in the store that day, but due to the unprofessional interaction and refusal to honor the stated return policy, I chose to leave and will not be returning. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled and expect better consistency and customer service from a company like Cabela’s.
