  Walking into Cabela’s feels like entering an outdoor-themed amusement park, but once you look at the price tags, the whole "nature" vibe kind of disappears. Don’t get me wrong, the massive taxidermy displays and the giant aquarium are cool to look at, but honestly, most of the gear is just **overpriced horse hockey**. You can find the exact same fishing reels or camping stoves online for way less, and it’s hard to enjoy the "experience" when you know you’re paying a massive premium just to shop under a fake mountain. It’s a fun place to kill an hour walking around with the kids, but if you're actually trying to gear up without draining your bank account, you're better off looking elsewhere.

  Been coming here since 2000 and spent thousands in the last 25 years. So disappointed the owner hasn't reopened the restaurant and general store upstairs since covid shutdown. It's sad children don't get to enjoy what I did when I was young. Billion dollar operation. No excuse folks.

  Cabela's in Dundee it is huge I always love just spending a bit of time here looking at the aquariums. 20 years of shopping here they offer a great selection of items. Don't forget to look in the bargain cave you never know what you might find in there! And snacks I do love their steak bits and honey roasted cashews so tasty. You know the sweet salty snack you really crave!

I recently faced a significant equipment failure when the limbs on my TenPoint bow broke. As an avid outdoorsman, I am well aware that navigating manufacturer warranties and high-tier repairs can be a complex and often frustrating process. However, Mark’s intervention was nothing short of exceptional. Mark did not simply "process" my request; he actively fought on my behalf. He utilized his expertise and professional rapport with TenPoint to ensure that the repairs were covered and that my equipment was restored to its proper standard.   The store is great, but the people they had running photos for the Easter Bunny today absolutely sucked and need to not be by children. Completely ruined the whole experience. They were not friendly, the bunny acted like it was dead and had attitude. The appointment said we got a whole minute and they rushed us in 20 seconds and acted pissed we let our child try to interact with the bunny. Someone needs to put these people in their place if they're going to be around children. All three of them were terrible!!! Never will we come here or spend money here ever again.
