Having access to all these tools for free has been the main reason I was able to take on a project to renovate an entire house by myself. It’s an incredible and well-run program which has given me endless opportunities to learn new skills — from replacing my own spark plugs with their mechanic tools to doing my own tree maintenance with their pole saw. Their tool library is well-maintained and extremely comprehensive. Few companies can boast such a commitment to supporting access to tools which otherwise may prevent people from taking on their own projects. It’s a huge cost-save for the regular person as well as a large waste-save, since people don’t need to have tools laying around unused at home for a majority of the year, instead just being able to use them when they need them. Carhartt’s generosity in supporting this workshop demonstrates a real and tangible care for the community, and they have earned my lifetime loyalty for it.
