  I’ve been shopping more at citi trends . The store has come a long way. The store is always clean and organized and Loretta and her staff are always helpful and pleasant.

  This store doesn’t even deserve one star. I’ve shopped here many times before, but this visit was humiliating and unacceptable. I was browsing for a while because I didn’t have my kids with me and was actually taking my time. Apparently, that was enough for the manager to assume I was stealing. When I finally went to the register with my arms full of items I was ready to purchase, two police officers stopped me and said the manager had called them because I had been in the store “too long.” Since when is shopping for an hour a crime? I allowed them to search my purse—of course, they found nothing because I wasn’t stealing. There was no proof, no eyewitness, and nothing on camera. Just an assumption. I was so embarrassed and angry that I put everything down and walked out. To accuse a paying customer with absolutely no evidence is reckless and humiliating. I will never return. I hope management reconsiders how they treat customers, because this was completely unacceptable.
