- JWJen WDec 1, 20251.0I’m literally standing at a register. Hearing employees talking and seeing them, but they won’t look over at me. It’s been five minutes. The store was a mess, so I was literally folding as I shopped and now I will likely leave empty handed. There’s no bell. This woman has been stocking here for several minutes. See photo. I don’t feel like I should have to go get her. The woman apparently saw me because she said something as I was leaving. That’s when. I told her I waited seven minutes at the register. To which she replied “there’s no one to checkout up here” there’s a sign that says checkout and ZERO signage telling people to go down stairs. Awesome that she just let me stand there and couldn’t walk over and let me know. What a garbage experience.

Their dressing room floors had shirt pins all over and several of the changing stall doors were broken. When I finally went to the counter to pay for them, I was bombarded by questions, all about their card. I said no a total of 4 times before the questions stopped. This is an all time low for the company; desperately trying to force you to get their horrible card so you will hopeful shop with them more frequently. I refuse to ever return to a jcpenny and I refuse to allow my family to ever support a company that doesn't keep a safe environment and that harass their customers at the checkout lanes. Do better. Also, to everyone reading reviews here, be wary. A lot of the 5 star reviews have poor grammar and lots of typos, which means its either employees leaving reviews or its review bombing. Avoid this place.
