  Ll Bean has been part of my life in one way or another since I was a kid and I've used their equipment, their clothes, their boots, their fishing equipment, their snowshoes you name it. Always had the highest quality and dependable everything... Until I bought these boots. I never knew that boots had a life expectancy and become totally useless after that date. See the enclosed photos and you'll get an idea. I've never in my life had a pair of boots that completely fell apart. Manager told me I didn't store them correctly. I have a pair of boots from the '70s that I can still use so I don't know where that comes from. Must be some highly technical and short-lived type of rubber that's self disintegrates after a set time. If they hope I'm going to buy another pair of their boots, they're out of luck. As a matter of fact I'm not going to buy anymore LL Bean products period. Ll Bean now is very questionable quality, Poor customer service and very little to offer that's not available someplace else at usually much lower prices They used to stand by their quality and service with an ironclad guarantee. Now it's nothing. With this kind of loss of corporate vision, I don't imagine this company will be around for too much longer. They've lost all my business.

  My favorite store in Maine. The staff is amazing and helpful. I was in Portland for a few days and had to get winter gear quickly, and the LL Bean staff were amazing at finding the right gear for me.

  Too much clothing between 4 outlets stores. Building new outlet but more clothing not outlet for equipment disappointed Over rated

  Terrible customer service not like the good old days somehow they couldn’t find my girlfriend’s receipt. The item was brand new in the package still had the price tag on it and they shorted her $60 on the product once she called the store. The person on the phone was very dismissive basically had I don’t care of an attitude. She’s a lifelong customer there for 60 bucks. She lost a customer hope it was worth it.
