In the past year, I’ve spent over $1,000 in merchandise at LL Bean, having my goods shipped to me in Arizona. As such, I fully expect ground delivery to take a week or so. Anyway, on 11/12/2025, I entered an order for two items totaling $325.60. On 11/13, an email tells me my order has shipped with an expected delivery of Wed 11/19/25. This turned out to be an outright LIE, as it is now 11/17 and it still hasn’t shipped. Fully 5 days after I’m told it has shipped!
When I called LLBean 11/17/25, they tell me it will ship late on the 17th with a new delivery date of 11/24/2025! Is anyone at LL Bean listening?! The call center rep offered no explanation and refused to put a rush on the shipment that hasn’t occurred yet! Delivery fully five days after date promised is unacceptable, and lying about a shipment that hasn’t occurred is unacceptable. Seriously considering never doing business again with LLB. I just get the sense they don’t care.

Major construction on the ll bean campus and the main building is closed. They have a huge temporary structure set up which seems ok. But the signage to get there is very confusing and it's a long walk unless you already knew about the location so parked closer to it. The salespeople were very helpful and also apologetic for the inconvenience.

I have been coming here regularly my whole life. It has gone down hill big time - especially quality and customer service. Renovations aside, there is no excuse, and I won’t be back. Just go to any Basspro or Cabelas, you’ll find a better selection with better service. I interacted with 3 crew members who were all just plain rude.

We typically rave about shopping at the mothership. This time, no. They are in the middle of a giant remodel. It is a gigantic tent with significantly less merchandise. I was also not super thrilled that despite being pet friendly, the door greeter told me when I walked up with my very well behaved dogs that I needed to be careful of my dogs because it was busy. Seriously, my dogs are better behaved than the majority of children I encountered in the store. It just sort of rubbed me the wrong way especially because I am a very very good customer and if they don't want to allow pets, don't allow pets. My dogs had been in the running car for over 2 hours while we found the outlet store and home store. They needed to stretch their legs. I did buy some stuff, but it was not worth the upset going. Honestly, we had a better experience at the outlet store in Biddeford.

They sell a bit of everything here. Boots, coats, clothes, kayaks, canoes, hunting and fishing gear, tents and camping supplies, home decor, ... Lots of options.
It's a HUGE campus with several buildings, each handling a different product line. There are maps around the area so you can find what you need.
As of October 2025 it is under construction, expected to continue for another year or so. Parts of it are currently closed off for the construction, but the rest of the campus is still open for business.
Prices are higher than Walmart or Target or even JC Penney & Dick's. But the quality is also comparatively higher. They sell some other brands here, too, and everything they sell is good quality... but anything with the L.L. Bean brand is especially good stuff.
