  Five stars for LL Bean bike store. We called three bike shops in the Portland area to try to get new tires mounted on my son’s fat tire bike. It seemed like no one wanted to help us. I decided to call LL Bean’s bike shop and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We brought the bike and wheels in and they advised us in the best steps to take. They kept the bike overnight twice to be sure the tires were holding air. We picked up the bike and it was exactly what we needed. I ended up calling the next day to see if we had left some special valve stem covers at the shop and they weren’t able to find them. Three days later they called to tell me that they ordered some new ones for us to pick up (for free). Top notch service. Definitely going here for my bike needs moving forward. Thank you Bruce, Damon and crew! I have a very happy 13 year old boy shredding the trails!

  My daughter dropped in a few days before an overseas trip to get her sealant topped up, and the mechanic noticed she had a cracked rim. They were able to offer several options and in the end got her set up with a new wheel that same day! Thanks guys for such great service! Not the kind of thing you want to discover as you build your bike before 3 weeks of bike packing…

  If it is in stock, they will sell it. Ask them to order something not in stock - forget it. They say they will call. But they don't honestly mean it. Go support your local bike shop who actually cares about you.
