  While shopping at the Bangor, ME LL Bean outlet on Jan.1st an elderly customer entered the store with a very large German shepherd dog on a leash. As this customer who appeared to not even be shopping but simply visiting with the staff talked, the dog who was not marked as a service animal, barked, growled, behaved aggressively and lunged at other customers. The dog’s owner could barely handle the dog, and staff allowed this behavior to continue without addressing it or asking the customer to remove her dog from the store. The store manager Jen was called to the front of the store where she also took no action. This is a warning to other potential future shoppers that this location shows no concern for the safety and security of all of its customers which is very disappointing. This was reported to LL Bean corporate headquarters, and hopefully training will be done with staff at this location on how to ensure a safe shopping experience for all customers.
