  My husband took me to get a ring or necklace because we received the coupon that said up to 70 percent off using your 35percent off plus 35percent off with JCPenney credit card purchases. We had a 10k emerald and diamond ring and we asked the lady to use our coupon and JCPenney credit card to see what price it would come up to in the computer (register). She said it's 399.00 . I asked her if she could try the coupon I received and she said I did the lowest price. She says it's regular 679.00 and 70percent off is 399.00. I do know basic math and 70percent of 679.00 is not $399.00. She refused to try the coupon that I had and said that she already used the coupon. I asked what did the coupon say and she just walked away and said see how they treat me to the other lady. There were three ladies in the jewelry department. One had a mask and kept coughing on us. She didn't have a pleasant attitude so she probably should have stayed home to get better but I'm not a doctor. We were ready to purchase this ring and I asked another Asian woman if she could get the manager. She said she was the manager. During this process, another female slammed the door to behind the counter so hard that my husband said wow somebody is in a bad mood. She stated that she wasn't in a bad mood but she has to slam it hard or it doesn't close. My husband said that you could have said excuse me because he has bad hearing and it was loud to him. The worst customer service we ever received. We were looking at the same ring at Kay jewelers and I showed them the picture that there regular price was 369.00 for the same ring but we were trying to use our coupons and JCPenney credit card to buy it, the lady with the black mask said go to Kay Jewelers then. Strangely, we been in this store three times in three weeks and we were the only ones in the store. Maybe upper management needs to look at how your employees are treating your customers. The Springfield, VA store is so nice and different but we bought a house in Waldorf Md and we use to live JC Penny's. Maybe they are going to close this location and the employees don't care anymore but we won't be going back to this location. We did not buy the ring. We may go to the Springfield VA location later today. We did have two gloves and some other items that we took to the cashier in the front level. Her name was Gabrielle. She was amazing. I explained to her how we were treated in the fine jewelry department and said they should put you there because you are so pleasant. She tried out coupons for us and they did work and she was so awesome. We ended up buying the ring at Kay Jewelers. Not sure if we will ever visit a JC Penny's ever. I received a response, but then it was taken away. That is why the company is going bankrupt. The Springfield, VA location use to be awesome. We now live far from Springfield, VA. I would appreciate some kind of compensation for my poor customer service.

  The staff at the portrait studio were very kind, patient, and understanding. I genuinely appreciated their professionalism when they took my family's Christmas photos. I would definitely be happy to work with them again next year. Now, the extremely rude and inconsiderate woman working behind the jewelry case is a completely different story. She unnecessarily escalated an already stressful situation by calling security on me and my family over a misunderstanding about the shopping cart. She claimed she “tried to stop me,” which was absolutely not true. Her actions left my kids and me embarrassed and looking like fools in the mall. I understand that in her mind, she might have thought she was doing the right thing, but in reality, she made an already stressful situation even worse. She should be ashamed of her condescending attitude and complete lack of customer service skills. Everyone else that encountered inside the store was great.
