Lived in Charles County throughout most of the 90s into the early 2000s. Working at 2 different locations in the mall. Many special memories! Unfortunately, from about the mid 2000s on, the area really turned into a dump, including the mall. People moving there from PG County and D.C. definitely didn't do it any favors. Turned into a crime ridden county. Which in turn made places like St. Charles Towne Center a place of theft and violent crime. Visited here recently, and virtually nothing looked, or felt the same. The mall had nothing in it anymore other than cheap clothing, jewelry, and many other dime a dozen shops and eateries. Nowadays, nothing stays the same or improves. It only gets worse 😢

Other than bed bath & beyond there's not really a point to going here. Other than that the mall is filled with cash for gold stands, fragrance sprays, and "premium" clothing. The mall keeps getting rid of all of the shops that we used to actually like.

The mall is now different compared from the time when I was little but like not in a good way. I think because I went to other malls (also bigger) that I like more and i dont want to sound rude but i feel like in the future that this mall might end up being dead. And one thing I think they could improve is how many clothing stores they have. Maybe they should have a store that's kinda like miniso or any store that sell different varieties (thats isnt clothes). I feel like this is something they're missing. Aside from that, I still love the food court (my fav is the california tortilla)
