The worst boating shop in all of Maryland. Absolute garbage. . Have been a complete nightmare to work with from day 1. They take no responsibility for poor workmanship, no communication, deadlines not met. Have called 3 times for aftermarket parts, each time, ted has said he has no idea what the parts are or do. I am literally told to do my own research, provide my own part numbers, just for them to install wrong, order wrong, and not communicate. I have steered many many boaters away from here since we bought our boat and I will continue to do so. I heavily encourage others to read the forums about bass pro and how they take care of there customers….

I visited the store on 04/08/2026 between 4:00–5:00 PM with my sibling to shop for clothing, and unfortunately, our experience was very uncomfortable.
At the camping section one employee was very helpful towards us and gave great customer service so kudos to that employee who made the search there great. But the rest of our time in the store was not so great.
The next stop was the shoe section, where an employee asked if we needed assistance. We politely declined, but the employee responded in a dismissive tone and then looked both of us up and down in a way that felt judgmental and unwelcoming. While treating other customers with respect and kindness.
Later, while my sibling was browsing in the women’s section, another employee incorrectly assumed her gender. When my sister corrected them, the employee responded with an excuse about how “men shop in women’s sections and women shop
in men’s sections,” rather than simply apologizing. This response came across as unprofessional and dismissive.
Overall, both interactions felt inappropriate and discriminatory. We did not feel welcomed as customers, and the experience made us uncomfortable enough that it affected our desire to continue shopping there.

Everything here is great, bought a micro lite rod a few days ago and got it lined for free. The guy asked if I wanted to pay for the rest of the 4 lb flourocarbon line and I was actually really happy about it (I had bought the rest of the line) I had come back the next day with my sister to get her a new rod because she wanted to get into fishing with me and my dad, we picked out an extremely nice spinner rod and some 15lb pink braid that was 40 bucks. I had asked to get it lined for her and the person behind the counter had us pay for the rod (and line) and spooled the line on the rod like normal, I’m not sure if he had put the entire box of braid on the reel spool but he had over spooled it (badly) I didn’t think much of it as it said “get your line spooled by pros.” He also did not give us the rest of the line in the box (I don’t know if there was any left) we had left and I got her rigged up and we went to a lake were her first cast…. Huge wind knot, I had forgot my bag so I couldn’t cut line, so we somehow got the knot out and a few casts later… another wind knot (mind you it was a perfectly calm day not any big wind gusts) this wind knot was to bad and we couldn’t get it out. So basically ruined my and my sisters day because I feel like I should have cut more pine at home when I rigged her up but also ruined my sisters day because she couldn’t fish
