- MAMicheal Alburtis3 days ago3.0The original install was scheduled at Roy's auto in Cumberland MD they called me 30 minutes before the scheduled installation and cancelled on me so I called smart start asked if they can find me another location for same day installation seeing how I've scheduled appointments with the MVA that evening to take my paperwork in the was able make that happen in Frederick MD so was able to get it there needless to say dropped off 11am on the 19th went to pick up 545 on the 19th after I rescheduled my MVA appointment to be told they can't release the car because the equipment malfunctioning come back in the morning so I call at 1030 they say everything looks good we going do one more test drive we will call you back guess what more problems so I finally got the car back at 5 pm on the 20th what I was told would be a 3 hr job makes me very concerned how much problems I will have

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.

Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
