  I’m only giving it 2 stars because I loved the 2 Coach bags that I purchased. The salesperson, Kalgi, was very helpful with my purchases of 2 bags. However, I felt like I was under surveillance from one of your other employees. I didn’t ask for his name but he was a black male wearing a black and white striped shirt. I noticed him circling around me, and made what could’ve been a relaxing shopping experience extremely uncomfortable. When I go into higher end stores, I don’t ever receive that type of treatment. This employee needs to go back into training because if he continues this, it’ll drive potential customers away.

  Well, I hesitate to give the Columbia Nordstrom less than a five star review since it's still my first go-to for men's clothes. My last couple of visits have been okay,including this last where I bought a couple pair of slacks. That said, selection is much reduced from earlier days, and there are far fewer salespeople to help. Disturbingly, the nearby Macy's had a larger selection and I ended up buying shirts there. Nordstrom won out on the slacks, though, with higher-end italian slacks and an in-house tailor. Good service from the salespeople once you find one. So, still my go-to, but I can't rely on finding what I want, a great selection, or quick service.

  I had such a remarkable experience today at Nordstrom in the Columbia Mall that I felt compelled to recognize the outstanding leadership and customer care demonstrated by Store Manager Frank Gangi. My family and I visited the store after discovering that a very expensive cologne I had purchased for my husband for Christmas through the Nordstrom website unfortunately turned out to be a counterfeit product. As you can imagine, this was very disappointing and confusing for us because Nordstrom is a company we trust and have always associated with quality and authenticity. We were not quite sure how the situation would be handled when we came into the store. From the moment we arrived, Mr. Gangi welcomed my family with genuine warmth and kindness. There happened to be a special event taking place in the store where guests were being offered drinks and cookies, and instead of simply directing us somewhere, he personally walked us over and made us feel comfortable and welcomed. That simple act immediately set the tone for the experience. What stood out most was not just the hospitality but the integrity and professionalism he displayed. Mr. Gangi took the time to listen to our situation and ensured that his team helped make the situation right. At no point did we feel dismissed or like we were inconveniencing anyone. Instead, we were treated with patience, respect, and genuine care. The entire interaction felt sincere and thoughtful, which is something that can be rare in retail today. It was not until later in the conversation that I even realized he was the store manager, which honestly made the experience even more impressive. The fact that someone in his position would personally step in to help a customer and make sure a situation was resolved speaks volumes about his leadership and the culture he is clearly creating within that store. Customer service like this leaves a lasting impression. Mr. Gangi made my family feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated. His professionalism, humility, and attention to the customer experience are exactly what strong leadership looks like in action. Nordstrom has always had a reputation for exceptional service, and today Frank Gangi truly embodied that reputation. If this is the level of care he brings to the store each day, it is no surprise that his team reflects that same standard. Thank you Mr. Gangi for turning what could have been a frustrating situation into such a positive and memorable experience for my family. Your kindness and leadership did not go unnoticed and we are incredibly grateful. Nordstrom is fortunate to have a leader like you representing their brand. With Gratitude, Erin Way
