- NCNicholas ColemanDec 6, 20251.0JUST WANT TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE, I came in 12/6/24 at approximately 3:30pm . I came to exchange an online order that came in too small for me. After finding the items I wanted to exchange for. I was directed to the employee Hailee which was working upstairs. I told her that I didn’t have my card and that I will get a gift card instead. Which she promised to do since I had the receipt and purchase items. She hurried and grabs the returned item and scans it and says “ Sorry I Forgot To Put It On The Money On The Gift Card I’ve Sent It The Card On File“ then proceeds to sarcastically says what my total would be. As soon as I came there I noticed she looked at me and automatically seemed disgruntled. I don’t know if it were my looks or the fact that I’m an African American male. But she acted as I was a thief. So it’s seems like she did this on purpose because of her opinion about me. I’m in disbelief that JCPenney has an employee there working in such prejudice ways. I will be moving a step forward in this complaint as this was unacceptable behavior and painful for my handicapped mother that had to get out the vehicle and come all the way upstairs to ensure everything was done correctly. As this left me with such feeling with JCPenny, It also left my Mother with such sad feeling as she just wanted to ensure Christmas spirit with a gift.
