Founded in Vancouver BC in 1998, the first lululemon shared its retail space with a yoga studio. We've been growing ever since, and our technical yoga and run clothes are now available in countries all over the world. We want to elevate the world from mediocrity to greatness. Our Mission Statement is to create components for people to live longer, healthier, fun lives. We make technical athletic apparel for yoga, dancing, and most other sweaty pursuits.

He was attentive, easy to talk to, and made everything quick and smooth. Definitely the right person to have up front greeting people — he knows his stuff and does his job extremely well.

I visited the store with my husband and my 22-month-old son to purchase a specific long-sleeve shirt for my husband before leaving for vacation. At checkout, the cashier asked for my ID. When I politely asked whether this was a new requirement since I have shopped at this exact location hundreds of times over the past two years and have never once been asked for ID. I was told, “No, this is policy.” I want to be clear that I have no issue following store policies. If I had known an ID was required, I would have gladly brought one. My concern is the inconsistency in enforcing this policy and the manner in which the situation was handled. The cashier’s tone made me feel embarrassed and as though I was being treated as dishonest, despite me simply explaining my past experiences at this location. The interaction caused unnecessary stress and wasted time, to the point that I had to step aside and place the order online for store pickup instead. Ultimately, a manager stepped in to assist, but the entire situation could have been avoided with clearer communication and more respectful customer service. I hope this feedback can be used to ensure policies are communicated consistently and that customers are treated with courtesy and understanding especially parents shopping with young children.
