Came in today for the second time. First time was in and out. The cashier was not nice at all. I dork think I've ever had a voice risen to me before for a phone number. Today was the first. She asked me loudly and this store is quiet and small. Honestly, as someone who isn't the size nor race demographic of this store, which is obvious due to what they had in stock, the cashier made me feel overly unwelcome. There were 3 employees and she was the rudest. Everyone else was great. Idk maybe the short girl needs more training or just to stay at home.

I stopped shopping with this company, Aerie AND American Eagle years ago, and have been better off ever since! This company seen it's heyday long ago & lost its way to which is unrecognizable. This WAS a prep-outdoorsy college school style when this store first appeared & acquired a steady & popular following during my (X) generation. It is out of touch & has new policies that to which have alienated most away.Last I knew, they changed their reward program and it wasn't nearly as good as it once had been.I recall many offensive incidents and very stupid business practices or bad "policies", to which is why I felt compelled to share an unfavorable review overall. What upsets me most about this Aerie in particular, is that I once worked for an agency that oversaw a home for displaced girls & victims of domestic violence, we had some foster children in the mix too, but basically was a predominantly female facility or home for vulnerable women. By far, I have this store the most business they ever saw or will see in their pathetic existence. They will be your phony best of friend when you are in there purchasing a load or tremendous amount of merchandise!!! However, they will NOT return that loyalty once you walk out. They do NOT care that you gave them loads of business that supplies their paychecks or guarantees their jobs. They will NOT return so much as a phone call and if you dare try to return stuff, you are the villain!!! I was even insulted one day by an employee who accused me of buying the stuff to resell on-line, something to that affect, but it was so off and RUDE that corporate called and personally apologized because they knew this was really deplorable consumer relations standards. They knew me by name but only when I was there to buy! They are completely FAKE &undeserving of our money, time, & energy! I know go to a boutique in East Longmeadow, even the place next to Victoria Secret, I think they're called Lane Bryant, is nicer to me although they are for larger sizes so I understand not everyone can go there but I recommend considering other business's that are more appreciative of us and return our loyalty! I wrote a fantastic letter on these girls behalf years ago, sent it to corporate, never should have gone out of my way! They didn't care or appreciate me in the end. They use you for positive ratings, don't fall for it. It sounds like a low effort place these days, I'm sure closure is lurking considering how dead that mall has been even during peak Holiday season.Maybe other locations are better, but I would unfortunately rate them as a lousy, past tense has-been at this stage, to which the whole enterprise lost the ball & met its decline years ago. I wanted to share an honest opinion to give a more balanced outlook, because I know from all my experience & history, they are not worthy of a respectable score and felt to set the record straight!!! As to the review complaint regarding military discount, they did not offer that when I used to shop with this company. It sounds like they added could have added it in more recent years, or for a military holiday, but it doesn't sound like they had true intentions of wanting to honor it and a classic bait & switch for which they should be ashamed & reported to the consumer division at the attorney generals office. They are not genuine and it is petty to hassle people over a piddly discount, these people risk their lives and work hard for our country, you are DISPICABLE and I feel WONDERFUL knowing you no longer get money from me, of my time!!! I looked over the other night recently and even during Christmas, not a soul in that place. The quality of their clothing &products was in steep decline and by now is probably bottom of the barrel. We all learn at some point, I recommend avoiding this company and particular store!!! They're super sweet only when you're spending a ton of money but will stab you in the back right after. It doesn't matter how often you are there or if you buy the whole store! Not many nice stores anymore, but this is one I don't miss!
