Very large and wonderful selection of LLBean clothing. Staff (tho not too numerous) were very helpful and solicitous.

Honest Review – Best Shoes for Essential Workers I don’t usually buy the display model—I’ll order my own and wait. But I had a chance to try the Wicked Good Max Slippers by L.L. Bean in Silver Birch Pearl, and something about them felt right immediately. They were the last pair on display and the team was about to restock, so I slipped them on just to see—and wow. First surprise: they sized me down to a 7, when I normally wear an 8½. That alone blew my mind. Second surprise: sliding my foot in felt like being fitted for a cloud. I’m about 156 lbs, and the moment I stood up, it honestly felt like I was dancing on air. For context, I’ve tried everything—Hoka, Skechers, Crocs, all the memory-foam options. None of them truly understand the reality of hospital floors: tile, wood, cement, kitchen surfaces, hallways—every shift is a new terrain and you’re constantly rebalancing. These shoes made me want to skip. My job involves pushing a large silver cart loaded with 10 heavy food trays every 15–25 minutes. Normally, I’m focused on protecting my back and upper body just to get through the shift. But a strong foundation matters—and these shoes delivered. I can honestly say these are the best work shoes I’ve ever worn. If they came in black, I would buy two more pairs immediately. Retail is around $120, but that didn’t factor into my decision at all. I paid $71 because I bought the display pair on sale—and I would happily pay full price for two more without hesitation. As a business owner, this is also exactly the kind of product I’d want to carry in my own store. It checks every box for comfort, performance, and real-life use—especially for essential workers. I planned to wait a full month before leaving a review, but I couldn’t hold it in. I had to tell you all.
