  HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience at the Burlington Michael Kors location, specifically due to the actions of Supervisor Martha and Manager Nicole. I purchased a beautiful pair of leather boots for $295. When I tried them on in the store, they did not have my true size (6.5). Manager Nicole suggested I try a size 6, assuring me that leather stretches. I wore the boots inside the store only, walking around for about 20 minutes, and even tried them on with a dress to see the full look. Both Martha and Nicole were present and aware that I was walking around the store in them. Based on their guidance, I purchased the boots. A week later, when I tried them on again at home, I realized they were genuinely too snug and not the right size. Even though I loved them, I decided to return them with my receipt and in excellent condition. On my first return attempt, Supervisor Martha immediately accused me of wearing the boots outside the store, claiming the leather had a crease and the sole was “dirty.” This accusation was completely unfair and untrue. Any minimal marking was from walking inside their store, something both she and the manager had already witnessed. The heels were completely clean and brand new. Her tone was rude, dismissive, and highly unprofessional. She refused to process the return and told me to come back another day when the manager was present. I returned the next day and dealt with Manager Nicole, who clearly had already decided not to help me. Before even properly reviewing the boots or listening to me, she repeated the same accusation—that I had worn them. It was obvious there was no intention to assist me or honor the return policy. I was treated with disrespect and made to feel as though I was being dishonest, despite having my receipt and returning the boots promptly. To make matters worse, another employee even agreed with me but was rudely shut down by Martha and told not to get involved. This alone speaks volumes about the poor management and hostile environment in this store. What truly proves how wrong this situation was: I took the same boots to another Michael Kors location later that day and returned them with absolutely no issue. No accusations. No attitude. Just professional customer service. This experience was humiliating and completely unacceptable. Martha and Nicole are a terrible reflection of the Michael Kors brand and should not be in management roles without significant customer service retraining. Customers should not be accused, spoken down to, or treated with hostility—especially after following staff recommendations. Buyer beware: If you shop at this Burlington Michael Kors location—especially for shoes—inspect the soles carefully before purchasing. Apparently, even trying them on in-store can be used against you later. Based on this experience, I will never shop at this location again.
