When I asked for my size in a dress, she explained that they don’t keep my size in store “because it just hangs.” I’m a 16 or 18. At the same time, I was trying on a jacket that fit perfectly. She couldn’t get it out of my hands fast enough. I ended up buying that $1,000 jacket, and when I did she said “oh, I didn’t think you were going to buy this.” Meanwhile, my husband was helped by every other associate, who were excellent. He found another $1,000 or so worth of things to buy. Sue still took the sale, after ignoring us for about 30 minutes because she was “too busy with other customers.” I love my jacket and wasn’t going to let the body shaming I now face every day stop me from an amazing leather jacket. But seriously Sue? I worked in retail for years and I wouldn’t have you working on my sales floor making customers feel bad about their bodies when what they really want to do is give you a big commission check. I wish I had said something, but I was just feeling so terrible about myself after her first comments. I take a medication that keeps my alive after a cancer scare, and caused a lot of weight gain which is why were shopping for a new leather jacket in the first place. My jacket is awesome and this is a brand I usually love and shop from often. This is the first sales associate I’ve had who was so rude. I will never go back there because according to Sue, my body makes her store look bad. This happened mid afternoon on August 9 2025. Prudential location. If you would like to avoid her too, Sue is petite and brunette.
