Today, February 26 at approximately 1:00 PM, I visited the Louis Vuitton boutique at Copley Place regarding an issue with one of my favorite fragrances, Symphony, part of LV’s exclusive high-end perfume collection.
The perfume, which I have used only occasionally (as I own several other LV fragrances as well as perfumes from other luxury brands), had unexpectedly developed discoloration and an unusual scent despite being nearly full.
Unfortunately, my experience at this Copley boutique was deeply disappointing. The associate assisting me, who appeared to have a severe nasal congestion, stated that she could not smell the fragrance and did not seek assistance from another colleague who could properly assess the issue. When I requested to speak with a manager, she informed me that she herself was the manager.
As a long-standing and loyal Louis Vuitton customer, recently relocated from Salt Lake City, I believe customer loyalty should transcend boutique location or client advisor assignment. My experience at the SLC boutique has consistently reflected the level of service expected from a luxury maison, where issues are handled with care and professionalism. However, LV Copley experience today was pathetic and off putting.
I was told by the “manager” that the bottle could not be replaced ($580 excl tax) and that refilling (approximately $400 excl tax) may be an option but the bottle was considered “full.” That is precisely the concern: the product has barely been used yet experienced sudden discoloration and scent change. I was further advised that I had to MANUALLY pump out the left over near full bottle of perfume myself in order to qualify for a refill, a suggestion I found both absurd and inconsistent with luxury customer service standards.
This interaction demonstrated little interest in understanding or resolving a legitimate product concern. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend customers seeking attentive service visit the Louis Vuitton boutique at Natick Mall instead.
Lastly, I would also encourage the boutique to consider customer health and safety. Assisting clients while visibly ill, particularly when fragrance evaluation is required, is not appropriate in a customer-facing luxury environment. She clearly should have stayed at home rather than spreading her cold to customers!

My experience at Louis Vuitton efficient. The staff were welcoming in offering assistance to buying products. The product range was extensive and the overall experience reflected luxury professionalism.

Dior offers a masterclass in luxury retail. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was elegant and welcoming. Highly recommend visiting this location for anyone looking for exceptional service.

Went into the store and purchased a LV bag and cashier DLOS showed me the small and when I said I rather get the bigger 1 for the and his response was it's a little bit more and I felt like he was saying that I couldn't afford the bag and I said to him I pay that in lottery and they didn't have the large 1 in store and Dlos responded that he can order it and it will take 2 days to get to store and guess what it's still not there and calling the store the cashier never responded back for days and after that I asked for a refund. Moving forward I will never shop there anymore and for years I've heard rumors about that Copely Mall and how the treat black people and I didn't want to believe it until it happened to me LV STORE SPOILED MY BIRTHDAY

Looks luxe, but service here is a complete gamble 😤👜. Some associates are helpful and patient, others are rude or ignore you entirely. Wait times and attention feel random, like a bad audition for ‘who cares less.’ Beautiful bags, miserable experience.
