My partner and I would likely have purchased at least one and perhaps both of our wedding bands from Cartier if not for the awful customer service experience we were subjected to. The associate's "jokes" about how "difficult" and picky my partner is were fine at first but became exceedingly grating. He would ask a simple question like, "Does this ring come in other widths." She responded, "No. Do not ask Cartier to make different widths. This is the width." What an obnoxious and arrogant person! My favorite wedding band design that I have seen was at this store in my size and I would have bought it, but I did not want my ring to be connected with such a degrading memory.

I was greeted by an incredibly kind man in a dapper purple sport coat. He tempted me into the store, until the awfully rude manager began berating the greeter and telling him not to speak to clients. I found this behaviour disgusting, the manager (or whoever she is) should not be employed in customer service. She did a disservice to Cartier and I will not be returning to the Newbury location. Would love to see more greeting collaboration with Troy Hawke and the Greeter’s Guild, they accentuate the Cartier brand through elegance and class. The manager on the other hand, should be fired.

The opposite of a luxury experience. In August I stopped in while in town to ask about having my love ring sized down. My husband and I were followed around by a security guard scowling at us. It was truly uncomfortable and made me feel awkward. The sales associate I spoke with said they would mail away my ring and there would be no charge to size down. A few weeks later I got a quote from Cartier for almost $600 to remake the ring. I tried calling the boutique a dozen times with no answer. I called the number the sales associate gave me, wrong number. I declined the service and had to leave a message through cartier to say call me. Finally I got a call from the sales associate who explained that the ring was too damaged to resize. Keep in mind I’ve only had the ring 18 months, I don’t do anything crazy that would damage my ring, even take it off to shower, sleep, or swim. I told her I really needed to think about it. It’s not about the money it’s the expectations that were set at the beginning and the lack of responsiveness. Now here’s where it becomes more criminal on them which has me really boiling…. I messaged the associate over a week ago saying please send me the ring back. No response. Messaged yesterday to confirm she had received my message and update me on the status - no response. I’m over it and have no ring. The security guard followed me around like a criminal when their own business is stealing from their clients. Absolutely unacceptable.

"I recently had the distinct pleasure of encountering a gentleman affiliated with the esteemed Greeter's Guild—a fellow of remarkable vivacity and polish. Until today, I had not truly appreciated the allure of this establishment. The Cartier boutique has piqued my interest, though I lament my lack of time to explore its interior and experience firsthand the caliber of its customer service. From my brief observation, however, it seems to offer an experience of unparalleled sophistication."
