  Went shopping with my wife, lady at the jewelry section made it a point to follow us out the store yelling “i hope you had a great visit” 3 times until we turned around and realized she was talking to us. She said it with attitude as if she was accusing us of stealing or because we are of color. Couldn’t tell if she was being racist or thought we stole so we went back to confront and ask what the problem was and wouldn’t tell us anything. Never coming back.

  My wife and I went to JCPenney in Lafayette to exchange a suit jacket and pants for the same items in a larger size. There was personnel in the store, but when we asked for assistance we were told that no one was available in that department. Because of that, we had to search through the racks ourselves to find the items we needed. The store also felt a bit on the warmer side during our visit, which made the shopping experience slightly uncomfortable. Once we got to the register, however, the assistant manager—was very helpful and made the exchange process quick and easy. She was friendly, professional, and provided great customer service, and the associate working with her was also very helpful during the process. Overall, the checkout service from the assistant manager and her associate was excellent, but the store could improve by having staff available to assist customers on the sales floor when help is requested.

  This review is specifically for the jewelry section. I ordered a ring for my wedding in person because they didn't have my size in stock. Said it would be in the following Monday and I would be able to pick it up before my wedding. The order ended up getting delayed for several weeks and was then sent back to the original shipper and the store could not give a valid reason as to why. My wedding came and went and I had to purchase another ring from elsewhere as a replacement. I have been fighting for nearly two months now trying to get a refund for a purchase that I, nor the store, ever received. It's come to the point where I'm now going to have to dispute the charge with my bank to try and get my money back. TLDR: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE UNLESS THEY HAVE IT IN STOCK
