I overheard an older white blonde woman working at the register give an older black woman attitude when she was just browsing around, and as the woman walked away across the store she stared her down while grimacing, so intensely that she didn’t notice me waiting to be checked out. When she did scan my items a pair of shoes that had been marked down significantly rang up for their original price, and I said ‘I’m gonna be annoying I'm sorry, but there is a clearance tag on those.’ She made a face at me, voided the transaction; and called for someone to go check to verify the price despite the bright red sticker being on the bottom of both shoes. Said no words. I asked to see if I was right because I was worried I was incorrect, and she said ‘hold on…’ in a condescending tone. She then changed her mind and decided to price the shoes according to the scannable clearance stickers. Seriously made me feel like she was accusing me of trying to steal shoes or something 😭 She then told me to have a wonderful day in the same tone. Check your workers. She was very blatantly racially profiling a kind older black woman and gave me attitude over an incorrectly rang in shoe. Maybe she was having a bad day, who knows.

Do you close at 8, or should we put 7:45 on the door? Because I still had time to quickly try on and decide. So rude. Don’t waste your time - just drive to the real thing in Cincy.
