  I visited this JC Penney in Towne East Mall last Saturday. Found a couple cute sweaters. As I was checking out I remembered an ancient gift card for JC Penney that had been riding around in my wallet for years. I pulled it out to try to use it. Gracie, who was checking me out, let me know it was deactivated which wasn't at all surprising to me. But she went on to say that she could check the balance and give me a new one. I was so impressed. The whole thing took at least 10 minutes but she did not act perturbed or mad or anything. She kept going even when I told her that she didn't need to follow through. She worked some magic that's for sure! She is a jewel and I appreciated her so much. I did the store survey and was going to mention her name but didn't catch on where to put that in before it was too late. Once again, her name is Gracie. Thank you!

  I don't know what it is about this mall, but it seems every brand store they have is the peak version of that store. Literally got all my Xmas presents at JC. penney. I still can't believe it.

  Very rude/dismissive and slow service; I waited in line for a good while, only buying 3 items, 3 shirts. Ms. Sophia at the register was checking someone out, their transaction has been going since I had been shopping not to far away. I figured oh they might be wrapping up, had been a minute. Went to check out so i can go but no. I guess too busy talking to get them checked out but who am I to judge. Im ready to go so i stood there and waited not a single "Hello" or "I'll be right with you" just nothing. Ok understandable still Finnishing with the person there. When they finally finished up she turned gave me a look and said I'll help you now; i set my things down, (customer before me steped way by one step) she the grabbed my things she kept talking to the person she had been with before and then just let me know the price. Second time buying here and i hated my experience completely both times, mix up the first time with an order pick up, (accident) but this one just got to me as it looked deliberate.
