This was a very tough install being a keyless ignition with a push button start so they had to remove my entire dash for my vehicle and run wiring from my passenger side over to my ignition on the driver's side, Service was excellent and seeing the owner actually on site helping with my installation just brings reassurance and peace of mind knowing my vehicle will be handled with care and the end result was...A Job Well Done! I appreciated the call mid-way through to let me know how the installation was going and a projected time of completion and it was done 3hrs before the time I was given!. How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.

Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
