  Bought a rifle sling from them. When I opened the attachment clip it broke. I never even got to use it. Went to the store and they said they can’t return it. To contact the manufacturer? Why issue me a receipt then. Total crap. Happy to take my business to another store.

  Here's me after leaving your store since you won't price match your own stupid sale online. I usually go to Dick's but was willing to give you a shot. You lost a high margin sale on a stupid tent and I will probably never be back because of the games you play. I ended up just going to Walmart but next time I'll just forget academy and go to Dicks as usual. Gotta love the canned response likely posted by an intern. They've had the same complaints for a long time but don't change their ways. No wonder Dick's is doing better. Academy has declining sales, share price drop, obviously unwilling to change. They’re not investing aggressively in anything that builds a premium retail concept, no meaningful ecosystem, nothing that drives long-term loyalty. On top of that, inventory and merchandising often feel hit-or-miss, and the refusal to match online pricing in-store just frustrates customers and pushes them elsewhere. They'll be gone in a few years at this rate.

  Went to 2 different stores could not find what I was looking for out of stock stores 3 found what I needed very frustrating academy search.

  I was definitely racially profiled at this store location today and was not very pleased!!! The guy recommended me a firearm to be my first purchase even after I and he said it’s best I just go to the gun range and test out what I would like and what would be a good fit for me. That was that he kept talking and mentioned what he preferred for my first time and then he let me test the weight of it to see if I liked it. And I did. He proceeded to say that “I pointed the gun directly at him” after we started making the purchase.. then tried to name off all these “irrelevant reasons to not sell me a firearm”. One reason was some people had my last name that could not purchase firearms and I said what does that have to do with me a lot of people have the same last names in the world… but I don’t know them people he named off!!!! Unbelievable and very negative environment!!!!!! I didn’t know you couldn’t take a picture of the firearms. I wanted to get an opinion from my uncle and show him he told me I can’t do that they would have to be there with me. I didn’t mind of course I respect rules!!! It’s really just the energy he gives off very rude and very bad for business!!!!
