  They usually have good stuff but when it comes to customer service, there’s not many people around to help. Hire more staff or keep them on the clock longer.

  This store has at least 2 of everything. I just came in for some saltwater taffy. From boats to boots, they have it covered.

  Drove 3 hours from out of town to purchase a gun with my friend and refused to sell to me since my friend answered a question incorrectly by mistake when separately purchasing his own firearm. Now I'm banned for 90 days from all locations for a mistake I did not make. Employees at the gun counter were also unhelpful and rude.

  This store seriously judges you by the way you look when you’re in the gun section. I don’t look like your average god, guns, and country guy. I’m half Hispanic, have tattoos, don’t dress in flannel or American flag shirts, and am an avid shooting enthusiast. If you’re not a white conservative male, you will not be helped in a timely manner or with a smile, but you will absolutely get judgmental looks. I walked by four associates just hanging out talking with each other, and was making a serious effort to find ammo that is out of stock. In the 5 minutes I was browsing, I made eye contact with 2 of the four guys while I was obviously trying to find something specific. No help. Went to the gun counter for the first time, when there was one guy. He had no customers and didn’t help me within a half minute even though he was well aware of my existence, so I walked. A bit later I went up where two of the three associates were helping customers. The third pretended I wasn’t there for a solid 2 minutes and then reluctantly greeted me.This has been a consistent issue every time I go. I went to the bass pro in Olathe today while I was out that way, and had a very similar experience, except nobody helped me at all. It’s a shame the employees in the gun section won’t help, I bet we’d actually agree on a lot of things. The cashiers are ALWAYS great and very kind. If you’re the average bass pro customer, this place will be great. If you look different than the average customer, forget it. This country is sadly that divided at this point.
