  Went there for the first time during the work week on my launch to pickup an online order. I was greeted at the door and they pointed me the pickup counter which is conveniently located close to the entrance. I was helped almost immediately and it was quick and painless. I highly recommend this Cabelas

  Can only park truck while they making money once they close Police would come by at 9:45pm to kick you out of semi truck parking so remember the same things you have in your store we truck drivers can buy any where else or online at a better price where we get respect we can find better better deals at AMAZON,TEMU,TIKTOK SHOP,ALIBABA,Banggood,Aliexpress,while we are parked at a truck stop we can buy anything online they all have better prices,and better service and better deals,thank you truck driver for all you do thanks to you i have food and clothes and everything

  I decided to take pictures with Santa at Cabela’s in Hammond last weekend for my daughter’s first Christmas. We have came here with our dogs before and I had a good experience in the past. I purchased the additional $20 digital download and they told me it would take 24 to 48 hrs to come through. I didn’t receive the download still a week later so I left a review about my experience requesting a call back from a manager. The assistant general manager Doug called me the next day when the store opened and assisted on fixing the issue. He was nice and professional especially when I had to call him back to let him know I figured out how to find the digital download myself once I read the card that the physical photo came in which had directions on how to receive your photo online if you didn’t get it. Whoops! Sorry Hammond Cabela’s! Thank you to Doug for being determined to help me fix my issue anyways. He helped me realize I just need to slow down during the Christmas chaos and just READ. Definitely will be coming back next year like usual.

  If I could put ZERO STARS I WOULD, but unfortunately I can’t . I had a terrible incident that happened to me 2 days ago. I went into Cabela’s on the 24th with my husband , planning on purchasing my first firearm for myself as my Christmas present . I obviously took my husband to help me ask the proper questions since I am not that knowledgeable yet. When we arrived to the 2nd floor where the firearms were at, Me and my husband was there looking and pointing at which ones would be suitable for me. Mind you, I am from Illinois & to be able to purchase a firearm I need a FOID card which I do have and presented it to him. Clyde (a sales associate) called my name to start assisting me. When me and my husband went to him for help, my husband started asking the questions that we both had. When my husband asked the first question, Clyde then began being VERY RUDE & asking him “who’s the firearm for?” With a very terrible attitude. My husband answered back saying that it was for me and stepped back but obviously he was very upset with his question. Then Clyde asked me “show me how to operate it” in a VERY RUDE way as well. At that point, I had several emotions going on, I felt very uncomfortable, confused, upset, anxious with how he was acting towards both of us. I stayed quiet for a few seconds because I was so in shocked with the way he was being with us and then he immediately declined service towards both of us. The total interaction time between us and Clyde was between 3-5 minutes. THAT SHOULD SAY ALOT . I vocally asked Clyde why was he declining service and he stated that he felt like the firearm was for my husband because he asked a question for me. I was baffled when he stated that because there are always families that go in together doing the same thing that me and my husband were doing. It felt like he didn’t even wanted to help us since the beginning, mind you me and my husband are Hispanic. I 100% believe that what Clyde did was a racist act towards us. We vocally asked for a manager. We spoke with manager Jason (beside Jason was manager Dawn) about the situation and he did hear us out. While we were explaining our story Dawn was making rude comments. At least Jason acted professionally towards us but he also declined service. We lastly went downstairs to customer service to ask one of the people there for their corporate number. They did provided that number to us. We then asked if we can get footage of the incident & they told us no. We were asking why or who can we talk to & that’s when they stated that footage erases every 24 hrs . We understood & was getting ready to leave. We then turned around and 3 officers was coming our way. We were so confused on why law enforcement arrived for us when no verbal warning from any associate or manager vocally told us to leave the store. Plus when we were at the customer service center, we were already calm. Law enforcement arrived and that’s a whole different story in itself, which was also handled very unprofessionally. Me and my husband have been coming to this location for over 2 years now. THIS HAS NEVER EVER HAPPENED TO US BEFORE UNTIL WE CAME INTO CONTACT WITH CLYDE. -1000000 recommendation this location now, the racism is very there. Me and my husband till this day can not believe it. I already submitted a claim to corporate, and I am waiting to hear back. Lost a customer for-sure .
