  I have flowers made for my home every other week, so I feel like I have a good sense of pricing and quality. Here are my honest thoughts: Their customer service is good, everyone is always friendly and welcoming. They also have a great selection of stems in the fridge, which I love for picking up filler flowers when I’m putting together smaller arrangements for dinner parties. That said, I typically get the my arrangement from Oberer’s right down the road. The quality there is amazing, though the customer service can be hit or miss. Because I prefer the service experience here, I wanted to compare pricing and I was honestly surprised. For the exact same hydrangea arrangement in the exact same vase, McNamara quoted $100, while I pay $45 at Oberer’s. Since I buy flowers frequently, that price difference really stood out to me. I’ve never seen hydrangeas priced that high on their own. I wish their pricing was more competitive, I’d love to support them more regularly, but the cost is off-putting.

  My parents, fiancé, and I met with Alan to book flowers for my wedding and put down a $100 deposit. During the consultation we discussed our ideas, and he asked me to email photos of what we wanted, which I did. After a week with no response, I followed up and was told he had no record of our deposit, no notes about our wedding, and no recollection of meeting with us. We showed him the receipt we were given, which was signed with the name “Alan.” He initially denied the signature was his but said he would look into it. Two more weeks passed with no follow-up. After leaving a message saying we would have to take our business elsewhere if we didn’t hear back, we quickly received a call offering to redo the consultation and apply the $100 deposit as a credit. When we returned with the receipt, he still denied completing the transaction but acknowledged the signature looked like his and said we looked familiar. At that point, with less than four months until my wedding, we no longer felt comfortable trusting him with such an important part of our event and requested a refund. This situation created unnecessary stress during wedding planning. Very disappointing experience, and we will not be returning.

  The arrangements for my daughter's wedding exceeded my expectations! I worked with Joe Lesczynski to bring the colors and design to life. We met, we communicated the colors and feel of the wedding and wow, the arrangements and my daughter's bouquet were perfection. The bride wanted vintage with rich colors. The flowers were a hit, and Ellen Joy Photography captured the beauty. I needed to stay in budget, and Joe came up with ideas to keep me there too. So much gratitude for McNamara and Joe.
