Dr. Martens shoes and boots have been worn by workers, but also by rebels, non-conformists and free-thinking individuals of all types for six decades. Come visit the Dr. Martens store at the Woodfield Mall.
Horrible experience. I would never go this store again. The manager was rude to me and would say one thing then do the other, it was very odd. The whole staff is very in your face when I told them I did not need help but would not leave me alone. I tried to return a pair that my mom tried on and she would not take them back. Accused me of wearing them outside which my mom did not do. I am more upset of how I was treated and I will never buy a pair of Dr martens ever again (as I have 5 pairs).

Be cautious when shopping at this store. They do not offer refunds, and cash never give . One staff member, a woman with large glasses who claimed to be the manager or owner, refused to give her name and was unhelpful. Overall, the staff were rude and did not offer assistance. This was a disappointing experience.

Extremely disappointing experience. This brand is hardly exclusive anymore, yet the front door was gated off and there were only two other people in the store actually shopping for shoes. That alone felt unwelcoming.
My group and I were allowed to enter the store while carrying drinks. We were browsing and politely declined assistance, saying we were just looking. Instead of being left alone, we were abruptly told we had to leave because we had drinks. There was no sign posted anywhere stating that food or drinks were not allowed. If this is a rule, we never should have been allowed inside to begin with.
The employees were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. It was handled poorly from start to finish. This was especially disappointing because back in the 90s, these were some of my favorite shoes. It’s sad that one poorly run store can so easily taint a brand that once had such a strong reputation.
I won’t be returning.
