I am writing this review here and based upon the most recent reviews I am not the only one who has had a negative experience and find it funny nothing had been done to change the attitude of management. I bought a vest from the Chicago Ridge location (which let me add, SUPERIOR experience compared to this one). Unfortunately that location didn’t have my size in the matching skirt but they called the Orland store to put it on hold for me. It was buy one, get one half off and the young lady assured me I’d be able to take advantage of the sale, just bring my receipt to Orland for them to make the adjustment when I purchase the skirt. Immediately after leaving the store I headed to Orland. Upon my arrival, I went to grab the skirt and try it on to be sure. Now to be clear, every Sales Associate I interacted with was polite and helpful. However, when I mentioned the adjustment the Sales Associate went to get a manager named Delilah. Just her walking from the back she came off annoyed. The Sales Associate tells her my predicament and the first response was “I don’t know how to do that. Get Brittany”. They mentioned to her that Brittany was gone. She proceeded to speak to me in a VERY condescending way stating “we don’t do that” and I once again in a calm manner explained to her I just came from Chicago Ridge and bought a vest and pulled out the receipt to show her which has the date and timestamp of my purchase. The response I got was we would need to do a return, and I’d have to buy it back which I had no problem with. I was then told I needed to go all the way back to my car to get the actual vest to do this return. Issue here: I have my young child which I would have to take her back out in cold weather to retrieve a vest to do a return when the vest would be coming home with me anyway. And if this was done to ensure no funny business would happen, once again my receipt had the date and was timestamped and also, if I was being untrustworthy why would I be open to being charged for an item if I didn’t have it? Now mind you, in my previous life I worked in retail and these situations would always happen and all you needed was to type in the upc code for the return from the receipt and reprocess the transaction using the same process. When I questioned this method, once again in a condescending voice, and with a condescending face I was told “I need the actual item to do the return”. Which going back to the beginning, didn’t she say she didn’t know how to process such transaction? Anyway… Even though I was frustrated, I did like I was asked. As I returned, I made mention to the Sales Associates saying I felt I was jumping through hoops just to make a purchase. The young lady agreed that she felt Delilah was asking too much of me. One of the Associates trying to be helpful got Delilah. As she is leaning over the young lady’s shoulder “helping” with a transaction she originally said she didn’t know how to do, she starts talking down to the Sales Associate and making condescending faces again. Now this aggravated me because every Sales Associate displayed excellent customer service while the manager on duty has an issue with displaying such skill. Now I see this abrasive, condescending behavior is not only restricted to me but also these employees. At that point, I called Delilah out for being rude to me and the Sales Associate because that isn’t right. For a company that has filed bankruptcy, and while other stores are bustling on a Saturday, this one was almost completely empty- this company’s has the audacity to keep management who display poor customer service (please see previous reviews). You would think such type of company would be doing everything in their power to retain customer support. After this, I will NEVER buy from Express again especially seeing from the previous reviews this is not the first complaint about management at this store. I will be calling to speak with management today and filing a formal complaint with their executive leadership team.

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding an interaction my husband and I had with a manager named Brittany during our recent visit to your store. My husband politely approached Brittany and asked, “Excuse me, are the fitting rooms open?” Instead of responding professionally, she replied in a rude and aggressive tone, saying, “Give me a minute.” When she came over, she pushed the fitting room door open, rolled her eyes, and displayed clear frustration and disrespect in her body language and tone. My husband then calmly asked her if there was an issue and why she was giving attitude, as we were simply trying to shop and use the fitting room. Brittany responded by saying that he was the one giving attitude, which was not the case. At that point, my husband tried to de-escalate the situation by handing her the item we intended to purchase and politely saying, “Here you go ma’am,” as we prepared to leave. I then asked if there was a manager available because the behavior we experienced was very unprofessional. Brittany stated that she was the manager and even chuckled, which made the situation even more upsetting and disrespectful. I expressed that this behavior was unacceptable and that I would be contacting corporate, and she simply responded, “Have a good night,” with no concern or accountability. This experience was extremely disheartening. No customer should feel disrespected, dismissed, or treated with hostility while simply asking a basic question. It was especially concerning that this behavior came from a manager, someone who is expected to model professionalism, respect, and customer service. We left the store feeling uncomfortable and disappointed by the lack of professionalism and courtesy. It is truly sad that a simple shopping experience turned into such an unpleasant interaction. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately so that future customers are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing back regarding how this situation will be hand

Went in the store to try on a dress.. the dress fit however the Orland Mall store doesn’t price match online prices. Other Express stores I’ve gone to honor online prices. Such a disappointment, they rather lose a sale versus price matching the item.

Kind of disappointed in the service I received today around 7:30 am. Since the girl at the cash register was busy helping another customer, I asked for a price check on a shirt. The black girl acted like she didn't want to help me and gave me a nasty look, then asked was anyone at the register, I told her she was helping someone else. Also, when I first walked in, she barely wanted to speak. The Hispanic woman was nice and helped me instead.
