  All thanks to Jayne, I had a fantastic experience at James & Sons Fine Jewelers. I came in pretty naïve about the whole process—I had no idea that rings usually take about a week to be ready. I needed mine done in just two days, and Jamye went above and beyond to make it happen. She was incredibly personable, knowledgeable and patient. Thanks to her, the ring was ready for me by Friday. I couldn’t recommend another jeweler more. I made stops at numerous places in the Orland Park area a the experience here was 2nd to none. Jamye truly made the experience stress-free and memorable!

  Bertie has been nothing but kind, thoughtful, and genuinely invested every time I’ve worked with her. She took the time to get to know me and my partner, our style, the types of bands we were drawn to, and even my interests in watches and other pieces tied to our wedding. She made the entire process quick, easy, and personal in a way you don’t get everywhere. I’ve really enjoyed working with her, and I’m grateful for how seamless she’s made everything. I look forward to working with her on other items. Highly recommend.

  Destroyed my Engagement Ring. Do not under any circumstances utilize this jeweler. I am recently engaged and was looking to have a few alterations on my engagement ring: resizing, engraving and mild band shaping. They engraved the font name into the ring, shaped down the ring so that it is unusable and the ring continues to be too big. They have destroyed the most sentimental and significant piece of jewelry I own. When I asked how this could happen they responded “ English isn’t the jeweler’s first language.” I wish I would not have trusted them.

  I was referred to James & Sons Fine Jewelers in Orland Park, IL by a dear friend. I am so glad he did. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with John and Nathan on updating my wedding ring. They were both attentive to what I wanted and improved upon it. I think we created a beautiful ring and I cannot wait to see the completed look! The entire staff were wonderful! They took time to appraise all the jewelry I inherited from family members to see what was real or costume jewelry while I was there. They even cleaned my rings for me. This is definitely going to be my jewelry store of choice. They have a wonderful selection of jewelry. I already have my eye on something to buy in the near future that Nathan is keeping a very loose hold on it for me. Lol. I highly recommend James & Sons Fine Jewelers!

  Don't go here unless you arrive in your Bentley and wearing your thousand dollar suit! In November of last year, I had brought in a relatively inexpensive ring of my mom's to have a small (less than 0.25 carat) white diamond replaced before Christmas as a gift. She'd had the ring for some 30 years and it held precious memories for her. This shop had nearly a 5.0 rating and so I thought it potentially a good choice. I could not have been more wrong. The first time the ring was returned to me, the insulting excuse for a diamond this store attempted to foist upon me was GREY and ridiculously included. It was the variety of diamond one buys on e-Bay for a dollar for the novelty because it's virtually worthless. Nearly another three months went by before they had the ring ready again, a length of time clearly meant to teach me a lesson for daring to reject their bort. The second diamond they supplied was also visibly included but at least it was white and matched the other stones in color if not remotely in clarity. I accepted it only because my mom is elderly and unlikely to notice the inclusions, and I no longer wished to deal with these folk. They also indicated they added gold to the ring to keep the other stones secure, and I discovered no evidence of any such work under magnification. Apparently they decided that the woman in the old car with the scruffy coat was worth trying to fob off a poor quality diamond and poor work on because she clearly wouldn't know any better and would accept whatever she was told/given. Needless to say, I will never be back after such ignorant treatment.
